Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Our Five-day Lean Six Sigma Green Belt  training course will suit anyone who requires a thorough understanding of Lean Six Sigma and how it works in practice, without yet requiring the more advanced statistical tools.

The course includes practical training on the most commonly used Lean and Six Sigma tools and on completion of this course delegates will be able to work effectively as members of Six Sigma DMAIC projects. This course has proved to be equally relevant to manufacturing and service/transactional environments.

It is an accelerated course concentrating on the Lean Six Sigma methodology and exploring the Six Sigma Project Structure including:

  • Change management
  • Project definition, charters, stakeholder analysis
  • Process mapping
  • Voice of the customer, Critical-To-Quality (CTQ), input/output measures, data collection
  • Control charts, root cause analysis
  • Basic non-statistical tools

After the course you will leave  with the knowledge and tools required to identify, scope and run effective Six Sigma projects that drive continuous improvement for your organisation.

Course Objectives

At the end of the five day Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training course delegates will understand and be able to:

  • Apply the principles of the Six Sigma DMAIC performance improvement model.
  • Establish the “Voice of the Customer” in defining the required performance standard.
  • Use a number of measurement approaches and tools to establish current performance.
  • Use appropriately a number of basic analysis tools and techniques to establish the root cause of a problem.
  • Understand key lean concepts and tools, when and how to apply them to drive improvements
  • Recognise the difference in approach and techniques for incremental and redesign
improvement strategies and know how to decide on the correct approach.
  • Establish ongoing process controls and process governance structures
